Digital X-rays
OSC employs on-site, state-of-the-art digital x-ray imaging, which has many advantages over film-based x-ray systems. Digital x-rays, which are exposed and stored electronically, can be immediately viewed on high-resolution computer monitors at locations throughout the OSC clinic.
This means that your physician can easily call up your your images and review them with you during your exam. The physician can scroll through multiple images, magnify, and conduct split screen comparisons of different views.
Digital x-rays are stored electronically with a patient’s medical records, allowing for quick retrieval and review throughout the followup and healing process. The images can also be saved to computer discs if necessary to transport them outside the OSC clinic or to provide a copy to the patient’s referring physician.
